TOWNSHIP OF SALEM PLANNING COMMISSION
The Planning Commission is comprised of five members who are appointed by the Board of Supervisors for a four (4) year term. The Commission makes recommendations to the governing body concerning: the adoption or amendment of an official map; proposed amendments to the zoning ordinance; recommend and administer subdivision and land development and planned residential development regulations.
The Planning Commission meets on the fourth Thursday of every month at 6:30PM if necessary. Subdivision and Land Development Applications and all supporting documentation fees must be received by the Planning Administrator before noon Thursday two (2) weeks prior to a scheduled meeting in order to be on the agenda for review. In addition, the review letter from the Luzerne County Planning Commission shall also be received prior to initial review.
